How this site works

CNAStatusCheck exists because the three most common questions in a nursing assistant's working life — am I still certified? can I work there? am I owed money? — have answers that depend on personal facts (your state, your dates, your hours) multiplied by 51 different rulebooks. Articles can't do that multiplication. A calculator can.

The rules we work by

• One dataset. Every verdict, state page and pair table is generated from a single dataset of state rules, checked and dated (October 22, 2026 for this edition). If two pages ever disagree, the dataset is wrong once, not the pages twice — and we fix the dataset.
• Primary sources first. Registries, health departments, boards, statutes, and the exam vendors' own fee tables. Where a state does not publish a figure, we print "not published" instead of a guess.
• Your data stays yours. The calculators run entirely in your browser from the facts you type. Nothing is sent anywhere, and we never access — or claim to access — your official registry record.
• No money from the industry. We don't take money from schools, staffing agencies or registries. No listing is for sale, no verdict is softened for a sponsor, because there are no sponsors. The site is funded by one $39 kit.
• Confirm before you act. Every verdict ends with the registry link because the registry is the only official record. That is not a disclaimer ritual; for deadline decisions, it's the last step of the answer.
